Good by 3 month old, hello 4 month old. Wow the time has gone by fast. Whenever he is taking his 20 min. nap I always want to update but I would rather read or rest for 20 min. Hehe. May was a busy month.
On the May 29th (4 months 3 weeks 1 day) He finally rolled over from back to front!!! I never thought he would do it. He doesn't like his back but is getting better. He has been a master of the front to back since he was 3 months 1 week. But at my mom's house on her floor he did it 5 times!!!!!!
And as of now june 3rd he is rolling up a storm across the livingroom. (As my grandma has told me. We are in San Antonio for our 4 year anniversary.
On May 22nd (4 months 2 weeks 1 day)...( I know I'm anal, I like to know the excact age if I can hehe) He knows who I am. He was sitting on my mom's lap and saw me and smiled and talked and lifted his arms up to me. I figured ok this is a fluke he just happen to put his arms out, but he did this 3 more times. Then I tested it out more and I pretended to leave and he would yell and make a face as he watched me leave, and then would light up and talk to me when I came back in.
I'm trying to get him more independent so I put him in his bouncer play thing and he did great, he kept trying to eat the rabbit and was very entertained.
So my first mothers day fell on Jame's 32nd birthday...What the heck!!!!! and all I wanted was to sleep in. So we compromised. My parents watched Nolan on saturday May 12th while we went out and celebrated Jame's birthday. And James took off from grandpa's on sunday the 13th so we could celebrate mothers day. James woke up with Nolan at 6ish and I slept in for the first time in 5 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally woke up about 10ish.James made me french toast in bed.
We just hung around for awhile and later on for lunch he took me to Pei Wei and then stoped by his dad's house and then went to my parents house where my dad BBQ'd for us and just hung out. It was a perfect day. James even got me a charm for my pandora box.
May 7th we went for his 4 month check up (Exactly 4 months) he was 24.5 Inches (35%) 14.8lbs (43%) and 17.24 Inch head (87%) he did great. Cried at the shots but once I picked him up he was totally fine.
He's the best kid ever, and sooooo good and he is def. a very LOVED little boy.
I am very lucky Nolan is still sleeping through the night. He goes to bed between 8 and 9ish and wakes up about 8ish. I am thanking god and praying he continues.

3 Months
We just got done with being a 3 month old!!!!!!!!!! It seems like yesterday he was born. He has done ALOT. First time in the hottub with grandpa (don't worry his version of hottub is 90 degrees, his bathwater is warmer than it. First time in the swing that Jonathan west handed down to him. First time in his play center thingy ..I have no idea what you call it hahaaha.First easter, first time rolling over belly to back )
May 6th (3 Months 3 weeks 6 days) was his first time in the hottub with grandpa. He LOVES being in there but at first he was like ok what do I do. Now he dips his hands in the water and then puts his hands in his mouth. I also bought him a cars float and he sits in it and licks the side of it.IT is soooooooo cute. I love it because it gives him quality time with his grandpa.
May 2nd (3 months 3 weeks 2 days) After great grandma cleaned off the playcenter thingy we put him in it in the front porch and he seemed to enjoy it, but of course he kept trying to eat the seat in front of him.
April 28th (3 months 2 weeks 5 days) Great grandma burd cleaned the red swing that Jonathan gave to Nolan and dad put hooks in the backyard and front porch so he could swing and he LOVED it. It's the longest he has kept busy. But of course he kept trying to eat the blanket. Crazy boy
Some where about 3 months 1 week he rolled over for the first time from belly to back. I love watching it in his baby monitor because he wakes up and then he looks around for us and then flops over hahahha
April 8th (3 Months 1 day) His first easter!!!!! I did not get him a east basket (although I bought him a easter onsie and took him to see the easter bunny) But I knew the grandma's would do somthing. Grandma Mitchell (my mom) gave him money for his bank account. And grandma betty ( James's mom) brought him a easter basket with teething toys, book, money, Candy and diapers for me woohoo. We just hung out at my moms.
Apritl 7th (3 months) They had a easter egg hung. Even though I know he was to young I still thought it would be fun to go. We met up with Lisa and her family and james, me, and my dad went. I knew dad would get bored but he came. It was fun EXCEPT they do the hunt into age groups and the youngest go first then the next age group and so on and the kid who gets the most eggs wins in their group, or if they get a special egg with a sticker on they get a prize. But instead of telling people who one as soon as they count it they wait till EVERYBODY is done. So we had to wait like over an hour to see. The funniest part of this is when they told the 1 and 2 yr olds to go james holding nolan collected egg. It was sooooooo funny seeing James rush to collect eggs. He got 96 eggs. I told lisa you know if we win we will have to borrow nate (who was 1 yr 3 months) because noone will believe a 3 month old collect 96 eggs. So James wanted to wait this whole time to see if he won and surprisngly we didn't win. So I know what we will be doing next year. Haha
It's been a great month and Nolan loves going across the street to my parents/grandma. They give him a bath everymorning which he loves and smother him with kisses.

2 Months
We have a very very busy month being a 2 month old.
2 months 1 week I finally put him in his crib. I need to start getting some sleep and he needed to learn to sleep alone. He adapted to is sooooooo well. He would go in it about 9ish and wake up about 130ish for a feeding. He did this about 2 weeks. Then at 2 months 3 weeks for the first time he slept 9ish to 6ish. The first night I was like WOW, to bad this is a fluke. Then he did it AGAIN. I'm like woohoo. Needless to say this was not a fluke. He now sleeps 8 to 9ishpm till 7 to 9ish am. Now I don't ever really tell anyone or brag because I am soooo afraid karma will get me and he will stop. I am only mentioning this now so that I remember this later on. When I first put him in his crib I of course was sooooooooooo nervous because I place him on his belly only because he will NOT sleep on back or stomach. But thank god my baby monitor has a breath alarm AND video. Otherwise my ass would be in his room every 5 min. So because of the video all I have to do is open a eye and peek at the monitor see that he is ok and fall back asleep.
I swear he is going to be an olympic swimmer. I place him at the very end of the crib and by morning he is either at the very top or as turned himself around at the top and making his way back down the crib.
We had a very huge scare this month. I took him to his 2 month check up everything was perfect. Nothing wrong. a couple weeks later I get home from work on thursday night and he felt warm. I took a temperature and it was 100/101ish. This made me nervous never having to deal with this. I went to my moms house and she took a rectal and he ha a temperature. I had baby tylenol and my mom gave it to him. He was not feeling well at all, would not stop crying and just wanted to be held. My mom and grandma helped out and about 1am I took him home. I knew I would call the Dr. first thing in the morning. Good thing I already had off the next day. He hated it when I stood still. So I just rocked him ALL night. I think I slept about 15 min. each hour. He would fall asleep and then wake up screaming. I called at 740 of course they weren't open yet. So exactly at 8am I called and they could see me at 930.
I get there and they take a x-ray, urine, and blood. I spent all morning there getting the test done. Because he was soo young they didn't want to take any chances. The x-ray came back negative also the urine. They would call later about the blood being negative also. (the nurse at the hospital went to take my blood at first I was like um the kid is the patient hahha)
Nolan felt 90 percent better, still fussy but I chaulk it up to not enough sleep the night before. So we go to bed friday. We wake up I'm got Nolan in bed and James sees my mom is calling him. He wonders why, and I know it's somthing because she wouldn't call him just because. I reach for my phone and I see she tried calling. I cal her right back and she says Nolan has Pneumonia!!!!! I"m like wait what? how do you know. Not being able to get my thoughts straight. Apprently the Drs had tried to call me but my phone was on silent so they called my mom. THANK GOD. They had given the x-ray to a radiologist and he saw pneumonia.
I call the Drs office right away and they were so sweet and got us in right away to the summerwood office. We went and saw the on call dr. Even the on call Dr. said if I were to have saw him today I would have not know anything was wrong. So I think either the Radiologist saw the very begining of pneumonia or just wanted to cover all bases just incase. He prescribe antibiotics and to come back in 10 days.
Needless to say Nolan acted fine and was totally fine then and 10 days later. They took x-rays after 10 days and it was fine. I am sooo thankful for the awesome Dr. and whether or not he really did have it he is 100 percent better.

1 Month
Nolan turned one month on saturday. I know time goes fast and I am enojoying every second of it. He's been an amazing boy. Sleeps 2,5 to 3 hours, of course I don't get that much sleeping. I am always waking up checking on him. He's been sleeping in bed with us. We put the moses basket inbetween us. Tomorrow James is setting up the baby monitor which has a breathing pad which will set off an alarm if he happens forget to breath. I will def. sleep better when thats up.
It's been an amazing month getting to know my baby boy. It seems like since day one he's been so strong with his neck and leg muscle. He will turn his neck/head from side to side and can lift his head for a good amount of time. He is also great at scooting upwards. he will be low on my abdomine and scoot up to my chin. Each week he gets stronger and stronger.
We got a slow start on the weight gain but now he's a pro.

I am breast feeding and have been soooooooooooooooo lucky he was a great latcher. We had no problem.
I think out of the 30 days he has been alive that maybe 4 of them he hasnt had someone hold him. But he is not spoiled by this you can still put him down. He LOVES it on his tummy the best but I am to scared to sleep at night with him like that. Thats why he loves his grandma and great grandma bc they put him on his belly when he is over there (thats almost every day or so) But the always have an eye on him.
I have 2 more weeks till I go back to work but it's not that bad bc i only work wed.-fri. I do have to say Nolan has 2 traits I hope he grows out of. 1- omg he is a sweater. wow. i keep him in a onsie and socks all the time. he is his own little furnis. 2- he can pass gas like crazy!!!!!!!!! ppl always think he's pooping. I'm like nope it's just gas. But it never fails. i change hhis wet diaper and 2 min. after he shits!!!!

Amazing Friends
So christina L organized for people to bring me food for 2 weeks. That is so sweet of her and EVERYONE. It helps out so much since recoverying from c section takes awhile. Om top of that

Baby on board
So driving home from hospital we were talking about the baby on board signs and how we need them. The day we got home James ordered decals for my window and three days later they came in. He did a fiid job.
